Founded in 1989, the Memorial of Latin America is a cultural center, designed by Oscar Niemeyer and developed by the anthropologist Darcy Ribeiro. It is a monument to the cultural, political, economic and social integration of Latin America, finding its location in an area of 84,482 square meters in the neighborhood of Barra Funda.
