Perrotin Hotel du Grand Veneur
Galerie Perrotin is a contemporary art gallery founded by Emmanuel Perrotin in 1990.
Initially founded in 1991 by Emmanuel Perrotin in Paris, the French Galerie Perrotin recently opened in a second branch in Hong Kong in May 2012, sharing the same address as White Cube another newcomer to the city. The gallery space was designed by architect Andre Fu, and it divides into one main room, one salon and three private viewing rooms.
Perrotin famously collaborated with Takashi Murakami, and Maurizio Cattelan at a very early stage, and continues to work with young artists such as portrait photographer and street artist JR and graffiti artist KAWS. Perrotin is also known for merging art and music through his parties – having collaborated with the likes of Massive Attack, Feist, and N.E.R.D.
