Kasia Michalski Gallery
The Kasia Michalski Gallery was opened in March 2015 in central Warsaw, where it still operates.
The Kasia Michalski Gallery is a project-based exhibition space, focused on international and Polish contemporary art by emerging and mid-career artists.
Distancing itself from artist representation and constantly renewing its program, it runs a commercial white cube gallery that encourages freedom for its artists, while also maintaining a long-term relationship with them. The gallery functions as a meeting point for visitors who wish to learn about an array of contemporary artists working with a variety of media.
After various experiences in the contemporary art and cultural fields, and upon completion of a Masters degree in Visual Arts Administration at New York University, Kasia Barbotin-Larrieu opened her gallery in Poland, with the aim to provide an accessible framework for both artists and visitors.
