Roberto Hötte: Um Escultor de Art Brut

Museu Afro Brasil, Pedro Alvares Cabral Ave, Parque Ibirapuera

The show comprises 24 sculptures inspired on the poem “The fish”, by American Marianne Moore (1887–1972), one of the most prominent poets of the 20th century.

The pieces, that mixes the techniques of sculpture, painting and collage, are made of acrylic on canvas, resin and paper, and are in dialogue with popular, indigenous and African art. This is the first solo show of Roberto Hötte, born in Curitiba (Brazil) in 1963 and currently living in São Paulo.
