Suzete Venturelli: Extinção!

Suzette Venturelli, was invited by Priscila Arantes – technical director and curator of Paço das Artes- to develop a project in augmented reality.

“Extinção!” consists of a computer system for game art, which considers the hybridization between art, activism, design, pervasive and ubiquitous computing (in relation to the concept of artificial intelligence), and augmented reality.

The public is invited to play on a machine to catch insects, which may, at any time, catching balls with markers that show a lion, virtual 3D model.

To play, you must purchase chips (£ 3), which are inserted into the machine, the funds raised will be donated to Greenpeace and invested in raising awareness on preserving the forests for the survival of the species.
