Valeska Soares: Meanwhile

The solo exhibition dedicated to Brazilian artist Valeska Soares and curated by Júlia Rebouças, features works from the 80s to the present day, related by the themes of subject and body, memory, emotions and the relations between space, time and language.
Soares’ research, focused mainly on sculpture as first language, include her in an international group of artists which expanded the possibilities of installation in art, involving the viewer on a subjective plan. Her work trespasses boundaries between memory and fiction, starting from the individual intimacy and desires to achieve a shared sensibility.
