The site-specific installation by İnci Eviner, titled “We, Elsewhere”, stages a displacing environment, characterised by varied elements such as reconfigured objects, drawings, video, sound and performance, which investigate the sense of displacement experienced by individuals in the spaces created by and for them. Crafted by the artist, the figures who inhabit this space evoke a sense a search for the missing, the erased and something which is elsewhere. As said by the artist: “These figures are constantly changing places through the space to find their other halves. This effort is actually an attempt to reclaim their interrupted and invalidated memory and bodies.”
