Established in 2015, Venice Meeting Point is a platform created by Mara Sartore and produced by Lightbox for international dialogue in contemporary art, with the aim to foster collaboration opportunities between visual artists, art organisations and the international arts community, as well as cultivate deeper public engagement with the arts. 

This year’s main partner Alserkal Initiatives, commissioned an exhibition titled When Solidarity Is Not a Metaphor curated by Nataša Petrešin-Bachelez – to offer a counter-space to the reigning agendas of war and climate toxicity. The exhibition is realised in collaboration with Cité internationale des arts in Paris.

Another important partner of the project is X MUSE, pronounced ‘tenth muse’, the first blended barley vodka inspired by the spirit-making traditions of Scotland, who will present the XMUSE Art Bar.
To complete the experience at the VMP, Santi Group – one of the most distinguished catering companies in the region of Veneto – will set up the Santi Listening Bistrotespecially conceived for the occasion.
The wine selection will be curated by the esteemed Venetian natural wine bar Vino Vero.
