Sesc 24 de Maio
Inaugurated in 2017, Sesc 24 de Maiois joined the Sesc network promoting the active participation of citizens through its program of events of different kinds.
Designed by the architect Paulo Mendes da Rocha, the building of Sesc 24 de Maio is part of the Sesc network which counts 39 seats located all over the São Paulo state.
The aim of this private institution is to establish new models of cultural interventions, animated by the belief that education is the main tool for social transformation.
The seventeen-floor building of 24 de Maio offers a wide program of activities related with visual arts, sport, theatre along with courses thought to promote forms of active citizenship. This is possible thanks to the organization of its spaces, that include a 216-seat theatre, shops, cafés and restaurants, exhibition areas, a library and some reading spaces, offices, a gym and a pool.
