Organised by Marginal Studio & CRESM (Centre for Social and Economic Research in Southern Italy), Counter-Colonial Aesthetic is a workshop programme open to the city, inviting artists to create a participatory space revolving around the construction of a shared heritage. Through crafts and material experimentation we investigate diasporic identities, local traditions and technological shifts. We look at Sicily as an informal laboratory of tangible and intangible knowledge, where the history offers unique examples for a contemporary model of integration deeply grounded and radically inclusive.
