This years summer party at the FHNW Academy of Art and Design includes various events, exhibitions and performances, as “The Inner Ocean” by the Swedish artist Ingela Ihrman, the inauguration of a public art work “Vectors & Skin” by the Swiss artist Tobias Nussbaumer, the opening of the exhibition “NEU | NOW #9” with works by Jaeyong Choi (Germany), Theodore Livesey & Jacob Storer (Belgium) and Lana Ruellan (France), as well as electronic live acts, DJs, barbecue and drinks.

Electronic music festival “Emerging Real” at the Campus of the Arts with national and international DJs and live acts on two stages. After-party at the nearby club Elysia (Frankfurt-Strasse 36, 4053 Basel)with sets by Garçon (Amenthia | Basel), Timnah Sommerfeldt (Home | Basel) and Philipp Weibel (Sense | Basel).

Opening reception of 
the exhibition “Vectors & Skin” by Swiss artist Tobias Nussbaumer. Inaugurated with addresses by Dr. Katrin Grögel (Division of Cultural Affairs, Canton Basel-Stadt) and Kirsten M. Langkilde (FHNW Academy of Art and Design) at the presence of the artist.

Opening of the ninth edition of “NEU | NOW”, a group show which presents works by international graduate students such asJaeyong Choi (Germany), Theodore Livesey & Jacob Storer (Belgium) and Lana Ruellan (France), who address the Next Generation and their socio-political responsibilities in the contexts of vision and innovation through art and design.

During the opening, the performance “This page intentionally left blank” by Theodore Livesey & Jacob Storer will take place. This performance will be given again on June 14th 2017.

The exhibition runs until June 16th 2017.
