A Universe of Things: Micky Wolfson Collects

On the occasion of Wolfson‘s 80th birthday, the museum honours the namesake collector and raconteur Mitchell “Micky” Wolfson Jr. with the exhibition “A Universe of Things: Micky Wolfson Collects“.
He catalogued, researched, and studied hundreds of disparate objects arrived from all over the world in Miami Beach in over three decades. The result of Wolfsonian’s lifework is a precious archive of historical items, now at disposal of visitors and scholars.
The exhibition investigates his life and the role played by these pieces in creating a network of connections across different times and cultures, and will culminate with the publication of the catalogue “Founder’s Choice”, focused on a selection of 37 key objects from the collection.
