Andy Warhol: Sixty last suppers

Museo del Novecento, Piazza Duomo, 8, Milan, Italy

In honor of the 30th anniversary of the death of Andy Warhol (1928-1987), the museum shows one of Warhol’s masterpieces, the famous interpretation of the Last Supper by Leonardo Da Vinci: Sixty Last Suppers, created in 1986. The exhibition is being realized in collaboration with Gagosian Gallery.

Between 1985 and 1987 Warhol painted more than 100 works dedicated to the Last Supper by Leonardo Da Vinci. In addition to these, other works picturing the pop-artist’s famous subjects such as the Campbell’s Soup and the Brillo Box, will be on display.
