Arte construtiva na Pinacoteca de São Paulo

Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo – Luz

09 Aug 201426 Apr 2015

Fruit of the partnership between the museum and Fundação José e Paulina Nemirovsky, the exhibition, curated by Regina Teixeira de Barros, displays 64 works of art, including paintings, objects and photographs, created in the 1950s and 1960s by the founders of the abstract, constructive and geometric tradition in Brazil.

The show alludes to Pinacoteca’s own history, as the exhibition “Projeto Construtivo Brasileiro na Arte”, realised in 1977 with MAM-RJ, was the first historic revision of the constructive production in Brazil.
