Carlos Amorales: The Accursed Hour
Fondazione Adolfo Pini, Milan, hosts the exhibition “The Accursed Hour” conceived by artist Carlos Amorales for the foundation. The exhibition is based on his life-size installation “Black Clouds” composed of 15.000 black butterflies invading the spaces and on various pieces from his project “Life in the folds”, centred on human violence against other human beings. Besides them, the exhibition includes silhouettes and other works by the artist, who focuses his investigation on language and communication. Amorales’ works either reflect on images and their transformation or analyse systems of communication, investigating their evolution and the ways particular narratives are spread at the expense of others.
