Cerith Wyn Evans: “….the Illuminating Gas”

The largest solo of Cerith Wyn Evans ever held in Italy, “….the Illuminating Gas” redefines the space of the Navate through a corpus of complex and monumental installations of the artist, made over the past twenty years, in which the artist explores and delves deep into the potential of light and sound.

Cerith Wyn Evans, now often realizes neon installations with complex shapes that constitute a central element in his oeuvre, began his artistic career as a film-maker, producing experimental films. Since 1990s, he has been working on language and perception, through sculpture, installation, photography, and film.
