Charline von Heyl Solo Show

This is the second solo exhibition of Charline von Heyl at the gallery. The show features a new series created by the artist in the past year and are shown for the
first time.

For von Heyl, the specific power of painting lies in the ultimately inexplicable expressiveness of its formal language: “Good paintings have this tantalizing quality. And once you turn around, you absolutely cannot recapture them. They leave a hole in the mind, a longing.”
Charline von Heyl was born in 1960 in Mainz, and has lived and worked in the USA since 1996.
