The exhibition draws inspiration from the namesake book, written by the Italian journalist Concita de Gregorio, who spoke with five Italian photographers to complete her publication. The five artists’ pictures are now gathered in the exhibition “Chi Sono Io? Autoritratti, Identità, Reputazione (Who Am I? Self-portraits, Identity, Reputation)“. Guia Sara Besana, Silvia Camporesi, Anna Di Prospero, Simona Ghizzoni, Moira Ricci present not just the shot included in the book, but also more recent ones, which range between different topics such as identity, maternity, family and landscape. All the selected photographers’ works, though, are joint by a process which overcomes self-representation and introspection to explore the surrounding world, in particular by experimenting with the contamination of different languages.
