After solo shows by Giuseppe Penone and Robert Morris, Mart showcases a great project dedicated to the work of Eliseo Mattiacci. The exhibition explores the theme of the origin and forms of contemporary sculpture.
The result of a dialogue between the artist and the museum, the anthology presents works rarely exhibited, as “Locomotive” (1964), and sculptures in complexity and extent are difficult to install, such as “Biker” (1981), “My idea of the cosmos” ( 2001) and exploratory “Platform” (2008). There are also works entered in the history of the Venice Biennale in 1972 and 1988.
