“Impressões by Laufen” is a visionary project that merged innovations in design and function with the SaphirKeramik washbasins becoming an exclusive work of art that honoured Brazil and its culture.
Taking the Laufen living SaphirKeramik washbasin bowl as a blank canvas, 10 renowned Brazilian creatives, such as Antonio Ferreira Jr. and Mário Celso Bernardes, Arthur Casas, Christian Cravo, Derlon Almeida, Jader Almeida, João Armentano, Marko Brajovic, Patricia Anastassiadis, Ricardo Bello Dias and Ronaldo Fraga were given free rein to explore the concept of Brazilianness. A challenge which made them take a unique look at the country’s culture, with all its various foms of expressions.
Their individual interpretations of “Brazil Up Close” come in two limited editions, manufactured in Switzerland and will be sold throughout Brazil for charitable purposes carefully selected by the artists.
The exclusive project debuted in September 15 in Sao Paulo, showcased at design festivals in London and Lodz, followed with the upcoming exhibition at Miami Ironside during Design Miami / and Art Basel Miami Beach.
