“José Luis Cuevas: Dos Ensayos” presents two essays on the nature and destiny of man.
Human bodies, machines, auto parts, accidents, objects that denote violence, mystical pictures, false prophets, sects, animals, fateful numbers, rarefied situations and landscapes in ashes. All this, under a montage that displays the most recent visual essays by photographer José Luis Cuevas: ‘On the resistance of bodies’ and ‘New era’ are both projects whose symbolic resources formulate a series of observations about man, in their tangible in intangible latitudes. An approach to the human being as a vulnerable, spiritually weak material, with an ephemeral body.
