“Bewegtes Ich” (Moving Self), is the third solo-show of Juergen Klauke with the gallery. Klauke, (born 1943 and living and working in Cologne), is showing a selection of key works from 1972 to 2017.
One of the first to use photography as a means of artistic expression, he explores the possibilities and limitations of this medium, raising the question of gender difference, focusing on the problem of identity with provocative images. Since 1970, Klauke has been working with the human body as the object and vehicle for his art, at the same time as Robert Morris and Bruce Nauman, and has become one of the most prominent representatives of “Body Art”.
