Fondazione Prada presents a new project by Lizzie Fitch (USA, 1981) and Ryan Trecartin (USA, 1981) from 6 April to August 2019 in Milan.
The large-scale, immersive, multimedia installation created by Fitch and Trecartin explores the desire to escape, the idealisation of rural life and the pervasiveness of the systems and technologies that interconnect us. They dislocate time and memory in order to explore notions of borders and both our physical and psychological limits. After moving their studio to the Ohio countryside, in order to realise this new film, Fitch and Trecartin have conceived the new film as an immersive “haunted” map.
