The exhibition pays an homage to the artist Angelo Morbelli, who lived in Milan for most of his life, becoming a significant representative of Divisionist painting and an important figure of Lombardia’s art scene.

“Morbelli 1853 – 1919” features works on loan from prestigious national and international institutions including the Musée d’Orsay in Paris, the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea in Rome or The International Gallery of Modern Art – Ca’ Pesaro in Venice. Divided into thematic sections, the exhibition explores the most relevant elements of Morbelli’s production, such as the technical experimentation, and compares his works to the ones of some of his contemporaries, such as Ernesto Bazzaro, Giuseppe Pellizza da Volpedo, Medardo Rosso and  Vittore Grubicy de Dragon.
