Realidad Programada: La Vida Y El Arte En La Televisión

The exhibition highlights the practice of artists from all over the world who work taking as reference the history of television and its diverse impact on everyday life. “Realidad Programada (Scheduled Reality)” presents installations, photographs, sculptures and videos which involve this medium in turn as an object, means of communication and subject of the works, examining the different roles it can assume in daily life. The title of the exhibition refers to recent theories in the field of cultural studies that investigate how television reflects real life on the screen and simultaneously it shapes contemporary experience and behaviour, in particular through the proliferation of reality shows and social networks.
