Working both as a charismatic artist and as a photojournalist for the major magazines such as Vogue, Paris Match, Le Point and LIFE, Robert Doisneau is a much deep and complex photographer. His oeuvre is comprised of approximately 350,000 photographs. With around 100 selected shots – most of them taken during the 1940s and 50s in Paris, the exhibition “Robert Doisneau – Photographs” held at Martin Gropius Bau then provides just a glimpse of Doisneau’s many-sided work.
