Teresa Maresca: Song of Myself

Acquario di Milano, Viale G. Gadio, 2

The exhibition focuses on the relationship between man and nature, taking the title from the collection of the poet Walt Whitman, of which 200 years from his birth are celebrated in 2019.

Inspired by the poem “Song of Myself”, Teresa painted 28 men bathing at night in the river. In her work, Maresca is also inspired by “Canto della Sequoia”, symbol of the uncontaminated American nature. The Aquarium, the ideal venue for the exhibition, features 30 works of two pictorial cycles on the theme of water: “Song of Myself” and “Swimming Pools”.
