The Others Fair

The Others returns to the ex carcere Le Nuove from the 5th to 8th November 2015 – the Turin event that during the past five years has established itself as a quality multidisciplinary project, dedicated to experimentation and contamination of genres.

The underlying theme of this new edition is the slogan Stay Gold from a poem by the American writer Robert Frost: an invitation to freedom of creation and design, intellectual integrity, an invitation to stay true to yourself, alive and dynamic. The exhibitors, artists and partners have already welcomed the plea of Stay Gold, now directed to the public who will occupy and bring value to the project The Others 2015.

The Others is growing, the high number of applications received shows that the curatorial choices have developed an international interest so as to show a net increase in proposals from foreign galleries (London, Marseille, Hague, Amsterdam, Berlin, Cologne , Dusseldorf, Madrid, Valencia, Cluj-Napoca, Osaka, New York). The art direction (Olga Gambari in collaboration with Roberta Pagani) together with the Scientific Committee (Peter Gaglianò, Liv Vaisberg and Stefano Riba) is selecting the candidate projects and developing three separate parallel programs for Othersound, Otherscreen and Otherstage, the three sections introduced last year whose success is due to the transmediality of expressive means of sound, video and performance. Collaborations will continue with the Turin collective Superbudda , the Milan research team S / V / N / investigating new sounds in electronica and multidisciplinary and experimental reality O ‘, and new collaborations too.
