Tom Friedman: Ghosts and UFOs, Projections for Well-Lit Spaces.

Vistamarestudio presents it’s first exhibition in the new space conceived by Lodovica Busiri and Benedetta Spalleti; Ghosts and UFOs; Projections for Well-Lit Spaces by the American conceptual artist Tom Friedman.

For this exhibition Friedman has responded to his observation of changing natural light with the use of 13 projections. These projections in turn become like hallucinations or apparitions. Objects, colours and figures become visible then disappear according to the light and the duration of each projection. By bewildering the viewer and overturning the awareness of the visible for the phenomena of experience and imperceptible transformations, he furthers his interest in the dematerialisation of the tangible object and the psychology of the perception of art.
