Valeska Soares: Common Place

Galeria Fortes Vilaça presents Common Place, the fifth solo exhibition by Valeska Soares, who will back in Brazil after her last show in 2012.

The show brings the deployment of her latest survey on tapestry, furniture and sewing artifacts, exploring how we relate to the spaces and objects from our own memory. The title brings a reflection on how these “common objects”, the different cultures and contexts have meanings of collective identification of affectivity.
