Istanbul continues to be a dynamic global hub for art and this is reflected in the diverse, exciting quality of works being presented at the fair. This year’s edition coincides with the official opening of the 14th Istanbul Biennial and we look forward to welcoming an audience of collectors, curators, arts professionals and art lovers for what promises to be an enormously vibrant week for art in Istanbul.’

Art International announced the works selected for By the Waterside, the fair’s dedicated sculpture terrace spanning the length of the Haliç Congress Center’s waterfront on Istanbul’s historic Golden Horn.
Ten works have been chosen for the third year running by Art International‘s selection committee from applications by the fair’s participating galleries.

This year By the Waterside will include works by acclaimed artists including Rada Boukova, Guldo Casaretto, Şakir Gökçebağ, Karl Karner, Yerbossyn Meldbekov, Ichwan Noor, Stefan Nikolaev, Javier Pérez, Paul Schwer and Walid
Sitl.
Fair Director Dyala Nusseibeh said “We are always excited to see the new proposals from galleries for this section. For our next edition, By the Waterside will continue to engage, delight and surprise visitors, offering challenging works from established and emerging artists. The pier is one of the greatest strengths of the venue, overlooking the Golden Horn with magnificent views. The sculptures shown By the Waterside bring this area to life and in this unique setting, the works are presented to their best advantage.’
