The century-old Bengal fig tree who lends his name to the restaurant is an icon of São Paulo and the biggest asset of A Figueira Rubaiyat. At tables scattered under the huge branches of this majestic tree, on the large terrace or in the internal lounges you can have lunch or dinner in one of the most pleasant environment. The tables and chairs are made from leather and wood sourced from Rubaiyat farm in Mato Grosso do Sul.
Under the lead of the chef Francisco Gameleira, known as Chicão, the kitchen has a contemporary and multicultural proposal based on top quality ingredients.
The gastronomic proposal rescues the primitive kitchen ovens made of clay and iron pots. The Figueira wine list brings together reds, whites and rosés wines carefully selected from the best wineries from around 50 different producing regions. In total, there are over 700 labels to choose from.
The prestigious American magazine Wine Spectator gave this wine list the Best of Award of Excellence, distinction given to only six other restaurants in Brazil.
