Bosnia and Herzegovina present Radenko Milak, with the project “University of Disaster”. The show comprises new works by the artist alongside pieces from other artists from different parts of the world, such as Roman Uranjek, Lamin Fofana, Sidsel Meineche Hansen, Juan-Pedro Fabra Guemberena, Loulou Cherinet, Geraldine Juárez with Joel Danielsson, Nils Bech with Ida Ekblad.

The work by Radenko Milak focuses on questioning the imagination in our present digital era, his artistic practice reflects the the potential and the phantom of each image that tries to pursue our consciences creating  fake echoes of the constant flow of images in our visual archive. For “Universe of Disaster” the artist has created a Wunderkammer that features films, paintings, watercolors, collages, some of them with the collaboration of Roman Uranjek, which displays the political, and social environmental Disasters a brand new dimension, pushing the viewer’s attention on art, which remains the last from of resistance in the present and in the future disasters.

The show is curated by Fredrik Svensk, Sinziana Ravini, Anna van der Vliet, Christopher Yggdre, in collaboration with Hans-Ulrich Obrist and Mladen Banjac, organized by Museum of Contemporary Art of Republika Srpska, L’Agence à Paris, with the support of Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ministry of Education and Culture of Republika Srpska, City of Banja Luka, and the additional support of  GALLERY | PRISKA PASQUER, La Balsa Arte, Les Filles du Calvaire Gallery, Duplex/100m2, ICIA – Institute for Contemporary Ideas and Art, Paletten Art Journal.
