Lives in Basel

Albertine Kopp is an independent cultural consultant. She is the founder of iCULTURElab that supports new projects and builds on her knowhow in arts & culture in combination with marketing, csr, fundraising and collection management. She takes a comprehensive approach to her field that builds on her broad network including artists, corporates, institutions and collections.

In 2019, Albertine created Caribbean Art Initiative with the strategic support of Andras Szanto and Pablo Leon de La Barra. This was the first time that the vision and mission of a corporate art programme was replicated in a non-for-profit setting. As formerly Davidoff Art Initiative, Caribbean Art Initiative aims to support contemporary arts from and across the Caribbean region and promotes its cause globally. Until 2018, Albertine built and led Davidoff Art Initiative over 6 years.

Through her career, Albertine worked closely with international cultural institutions and artists in and around residency programs. She connected local artists to widely recognized international institutions and created a lively artist residency exchange that allowed various international artists to work in the Caribbean. Her work was recognized with the European Corporate Art Awards in 2017.

Albertine earned a master degree with distinction in the Creative & Cultural Industries from King’s College London. Albertine has worked in arts, communications and marking with Institut Kunst HGK FHNW, Davidoff, Voltashow, Deutsche Bank Collection and Louis Vuitton Communications in New York, Paris and Frankfurt and Basel. Albertine is member of the board of Kunsthalle Basel, New York Arts Club and member of the association of Swiss Art Historians.
