The third edition of Art Weekend São Paulo involves different locations around the city, offering a special programme of over a hundred events, between exhibitions, guided visits, performances, workshop for children, talks with artists and curators and more. Taking place from November 9-11, 2018, the Art Weekend follows in the sequence of similar events in cultural cities around the world, such as Berlin, Vienna, Brussels, Paris and Chicago and constitutes a unique occasion for local audiences to meet foreign galleries. After the increasing attention obtained in the last editions, the list of participants has reached the number of 50 galleries, 37 of which are members of Latitude – Platform for Brazilian Art Galleries Abroad, connected with the international art world.

The 38 participating galleries based in São Paulo are divided into four circuits, according to their neighborhood: Vila Madalena – Pinheiros – Butantã; Itaim – Vila Nova Conceição; Jardins; and Downtown – Barra Funda.

This year’s programme promotes also the exchange between institutions of different Brazilian states: the project “Galleries Host Galleries”connect twelve Brazilian galleries, located in other states, with the ones based in the city, to set up pop-up exhibitions in their spaces.

Galleries operate with the following opening times:
Friday, November 9: 5pm-10pm
Saturday, November 10: 11am-8pm
Sunday, November 11: 12pm-6pm
