Art Encounters at Volvo Studio Milano:
 Six Steps Forward For One Step Back

Volvo Studio Milano presents “Art Encounters”, a new programme of events dedicated to the world of contemporary art, for this first series the focus is on sustainability. Under the curatorial guidance of Lightbox, the first edition will take place from November 2019 to March 2020 over the course of six Wednesday evenings, involving both professionals from the art world and the public alike in performances, sound interventions, exhibitions and talks leading up to miart 2020, Milan’s modern and contemporary art fair, which will take place from 17 to 19 April 2020.

Participating artists and guests include: Matilde Sambo, Giulio Verago, David Monacchi, Threes, Andrea Lerda, Giusy Pirrotta, Giorgia Severi, Giovanni Vetere, The Orange Garden, Andreco, Angela Vettese, Armin Linke and Lorenzo Balbi.

The title “Six Steps Forward For One Step Back” underlines the intent of Art Encounters: to move as many steps forward in order to stimulate reflection around new ways of experiencing our planet and creating opportunities for the confrontation between artists, curators and the public regarding the possible relationships between art and the environment.
