Vincenzo de Bellis and Adrienne Edwards appointed curators at Walker Art Center

The Walker Art Center announced today that it has appointed Adrienne Edwards as their new curator at large and Vincenzo de Bellis as curator of visual arts.

Vincenzo de Bellis is currently based in Milan where he covers the role of artistic director of the MiArt fair, a position he has held since 2012. In Milan he also co-founded Peep-Hole, an independent art space where he curated shows by Trisha Baga, Mario Garcia Torres, Corrado Levi and Andra Ursuta, among other. De Bellis will leave his role directing the art fair after this year’s edition which will run from the 8th to the 10th of April.

Adrienne Edwards, who currently serves as a curator and head of programming at Performa and is in the process of completing a Ph.D. in performance studies, will continue to work out of New York. Her curatorial focus includes artists of the African diaspora and the global South.
