Katara Cultural Village

Katara Cultural Village Foundation is a cultural development project established to promote artistic engagement and international cultural exchange. The initiative was launched under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Father Emir of the State of Qatar.

Aligned with global approaches that emphasise cultural diversity and social development, Katara Cultural Village represents one of Qatar’s largest and most comprehensive cultural projects. It provides a setting in which visitors can engage with a wide range of cultural traditions. The site includes theatres, concert halls, exhibition galleries, and specialised facilities designed to support diverse artistic and cultural activities.

In accordance with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030, Katara supports the preservation of Qatar’s heritage and traditions while promoting intercultural understanding. It hosts a programme of international, regional, and local festivals, workshops, performances, and exhibitions, contributing to cultural awareness and exchange.
