The Stable

The Stable is a contemporary art gallery located in S-chanf in the Engadin Valley. Founded in 2022 by Fritz Steinhart, the gallery is housed in a converted barn, where open spaces and natural light provide a setting for exhibitions that combine conceptual rigor with careful curation.

The gallery presents work by both Swiss and international artists, focusing on projects that explore transformation in material and ideas. Steinhart’s curatorial approach emphasizes long-term relationships with artists and thoughtful engagement with the surrounding community and landscape.

Current exhibitions include work by Michael Fanta, Jacob Ott, and Clemens Wolf. Past projects, such as the Zürich-based exhibition “sans mélo,” reflect theStable’s commitment to presenting exhibitions that are considered, accessible, and relevant within both local and international art contexts.
