Etnia House of Arts

In 2026, the historic Chiesa dell’Abbazia della Misericordia in Venice reopens to the public after a major restoration and becomes the home of Etnia House of Arts, a cultural platform dedicated to artistic experimentation, dialogue and contemporary creativity.

Promoted by Etnia Eyewear Culture, the initiative transforms the Misericordia into a living space for artistic production, cultural exchange and public engagement. Throughout the season, it hosts exhibitions, interventions and performances, creating a dynamic environment where art is produced and experienced in real time.

Within this framework, Etnia House of Arts runs a residency programme hosting international artists who create works from an unconventional canvas—eyewear. The works evolve in dialogue with the building, the city of Venice and its visitors, offering insight into both process and outcome.

This approach reflects Etnia Eyewear Culture’s vision of turning the Misericordia into an active cultural hub where art, creativity and community meet.
