Alserkal Arts Foundation

Alserkal Arts Foundation commissions artistic projects, awards research grants and supports multidisciplinary scholarship and alternative learning. It hosts residencies and facilitates research at studios and study spaces at 50/51 Alserkal Avenue, nurturing critical and intellectually curious projects that impact the cultural sphere. The Fondation thinks expansively about networks, privileging relevance and connectivity over geographic limits or disciplinary boundaries.

Working in close collaboration with artists, curators and thinkers, its programmes are designed to allow audiences to reckon with experimental ideas and processes that inspire thought-provoking cultural production. Making space for dialogue and exchange, it welcomes practitioners whose methodologies challenge institutional convention, generating new forms of knowledge and experience, focused on creating a responsive environment where learning is peer-led, organic, participatory, and accessible.

Alserkal Arts Foundation is supported by Abdelmonem Bin Eisa Alserkal, Ahmad Bin Eisa Alserkal and the Alserkal family. The Foundation is a hub for Alserkal’s not-for-profit initiatives, bringing together and building on the cultural programming and partnerships central to our ethos since the inception of Alserkal Avenue.
