Etel

Etel is a leading name in Brazilian design, renowned for its masterful craftsmanship, sophisticated use of wood, and commitment to sustainability.

Via Pietro Maroncelli 13, 20154 Milan, Italy

Founded in 1985 by Etel Carmona, the brand has evolved from a small artisanal workshop into an international reference for Brazilian modern and contemporary design. Etel has played a key role in preserving and reviving iconic pieces by legendary designers such as Oscar Niemeyer, Lina Bo Bardi, and Jorge Zalszupin, while also collaborating with emerging talents. Each piece is crafted with exceptional attention to detail, using eco-friendly materials and sustainable practices, showing the brand’s dedication to ethical design.

The showroom in Milan is the brand’s first European space, designed by Superluna architecture studio. A striking tropical wood screen serves as a focal point, symbolising a central tree from which everything comes to life. The interior design reflects a dialogue between Milan and Brazil, aiming to recreate the vibrant atmosphere of Lina Bo Bardi’s “Casa de Vidro” in São Paulo during the 1950s and 60s—a cultural hub for the artistic and intellectual elite of the time.
