Promemoria’s inception dates back to the 19th century in a small village on the shores of Lake Como, where the Sozzi family operated a workshop specializing in the restoration and repair of aristocratic carriages. This craft, deeply tied to tradition, laid the foundation for a distinctive artisanal expertise that would evolve through four generations and culminate in the creation of Promemoria by the late 1980s.

Constantly evolving, Promemoria is a dynamic entity that unites every stage of production—from material research and finishing studies to high-end craftsmanship techniques like leatherwork, upholstery, engraving, and advanced technological processes in lighting and design. Today, Promemoria is a luxury furniture manufacturer where dreams are turned into exquisite, handcrafted pieces. Led by Romeo Sozzi, the company has found a rare balance between entrepreneurial spirit and artisanal excellence, often working on custom orders and maintaining its international reach.

In 1992, Promemoria expanded with a showroom in the heart of Milan’s fashion district, between Via Bagutta and Via Montenapoleone. This pivotal step marked the brand’s growing reputation, reinforcing the appreciation for Promemoria’s taste and creations. The name itself embodies a precise vocation—Promemoria stands for prestige, not through ostentation but through a life-enriching experience marked by exceptional quality. Every piece is handmade, often in limited editions or unique designs, crafted from exclusive materials sourced from all corners of the globe.

Promemoria unveils its 2025 collection, designed by Romeo Sozzi, Davide Sozzi, and Andrea Sanguineti. Exclusively, the “The London Collection” will be presented, created in collaboration with the renowned London-based studio David Collins. Additionally, Bottega Ghianda will be present to celebrate the excellence of Italian fine cabinetmaking.
