Fondation Gandur pour l’Art

Begun over forty years ago, the collections focus on Antiquities, Ethnology, Fine Arts and Decorative Arts

Rue Michel-Servet 12, 1206 Genève, Switzerland

The collections of the Fondation Gandur pour l’Art focus on four distinct curatorial domains: Antiquities, rich of more than 1200 objects including Egyptian, Greek and Roman bronzes and amulets; Ethnology, with objects from the pre-Columbian world and the distant islands of Oceania; Fine Arts with nearly 1000 artworks from the 20th century and Decorative Arts, a collection of nearly 400 objects of art and decoration where the emphasis is on 18th century French furniture and sculpture, from the Middle Ages to Baroque art.

These domains are constantly evolving. The aim in each case is to develop a coherent corpus, whether it be specific civilizations, historical periods, major schools or aesthetic movements.
