Casa Museo Boschi Di Stefano, a museum of the Municipality of Milan, has been open to the public since 2003. It showcases around 300 works from the remarkable 20th-century art collection of Antonio Boschi and Marieda Di Stefano.
What makes this museum unique is its setting—the collection remains in the couple’s original apartment on the second floor of a building at Via Jan 15, designed by renowned Milanese architect Piero Portaluppi between 1929 and 1930.
A visit offers insight into Milan’s 20th-century art collecting, particularly its contemporary scene, while also capturing the spirit of the era from the 1930s to the 1970s. Period furnishings, acquired by the Boschi Di Stefano Foundation, enhance the experience.
The museum’s eleven rooms display works in chronological order, featuring Italian Novecento, Mario Sironi, the Corrente group, Morandi, De Pisis, the School of Paris, the Chiaristi, Lucio Fontana, Spatialism, and Informalism.
