Villa Necchi Campiglio

Via Mozart 14

Villa Necchi Campiglio was designed in the early 1930s by architect Piero Portaluppi for sisters Nedda and Gigina Necchi and Gigina’s husband, Angelo Campiglio—wealthy industrialists of the time.

The property included a caretaker’s house, greenhouse, garage, tennis court, and Milan’s first private swimming pool. The ground floor was for entertaining, while the upper floor housed private rooms.

Equipped with modern comforts like lifts, service elevators, intercoms, sliding security doors, and a vault, the villa was a symbol of luxury and innovation.

Now open to the public, it features three major art collections donated between 1995 and 2017. The villa was entrusted to FAI in 2001, fulfilling the Necchi sisters’ wish to make it a cultural space, complete with a garden, events, and a hidden bistro.
