Calder Foundation

Founded as a no-profit organization by by Alexander S. C. Rower and the Calder family in 1987, the foundation collects and exhibits the works of art and archives of Alexander Calder. It also functions as a research and educational centre with the aim to foster the knowledge of the artist to the general public. The foundation’s program includes its own exhibitions, lectures, performances, and events on Calder as well as on contemporary artists who the Foundation supports through the biannual Calder Prize and the Atelier Calder residency program in Saché, France.
