The Ignazio Buttitta Foundation

The Ignazio Buttitta Foundation was established on July 4th, 2005 to honor the famous poet of Bagheria, thanks to the will of his son Antonino Buttitta and under the patronage of the University of Palermo. The non-profit foundation pursues the protection, study and development of Sicilian culture in all its historical, social, artistic and anthropological aspects. To achieve these goals, it promotes conferences, exhibitions, educational activities and scholarships, supports archive research, fieldwork and photographic and audiovisual surveys on oral and material culture, assuming any editorial initiative deemed to be consistent with its founding reasons.
