UNESCO Heritage Foundation of Sicily

Based in Villino Florio, the UNESCO Heritage Foundation of Sicily was born in 2005 from the initiative of the Sicilian Region and the Italian National Commission for UNESCO. The Foundation operates to enhance, promote, and protect the UNESCO world heritage sites, to contribute to their management and to nominate new sites to be included in the list of UNESCO heritage. To pursue its goals, the Foundation works in cooperation with a network of several  Italian and foreign institutions with complementary purposes.
