Fundaziun Nairs

Founded in 2005, Fundaziun Nairs functions as an artists’ residence, art gallery, and cultural laboratory, connecting the Engadine region with international artistic communities. Through its artists-in-residence program, approximately 30 artists are invited each year to work in studio residencies lasting several months, with participants selected by a jury.

The foundation encourages dialogue and collaboration across artistic disciplines. Its gallery presents contemporary art in historically significant spaces, engaging with current artistic and cultural issues. The cultural laboratory supports and develops the local Romansh culture through a variety of projects, combining preservation with innovation.
